Years ago I was listening to Dr, Laura’s radio show. A woman called in wanting advice because her teen daughter was pregnant. The daughter wanted to adopt her baby to a family. Dr. Laura asked the woman why she was advocating abortion over adoption. The woman started whining and said, “I would be devastated for the rest of my life knowing I had a grandchild somewhere in the world I never knew”. In Dr. Laura’s sarcastic manner replied “ Ooooh I get it, you would rather have your beloved grandchild you would never know, murdered, well that makes perfect sense. Tell your daughter to adopt if nothing more than to keep the child away from you.”
