When you think about it, supporting PDJT is a very rock n roll thing to do. Strip away the lies about him being a racist, etc and you have a guy who is anti establishment and wants to tear down the status quo - isn’t that what rock n roll is about, rebellion?

“Happy” came on my satellite radio yesterday. I cranked it up all the way.

True, so true. The Ramones and the Sex Pistols were original greats, at a time when rock had become banal. And we were happy to endorse punk as an alternative to disco. I really hated disco, though now I can listen to Saturday Night Fever and actually appreciate it for its musical merits without wanting to throw up.

Something I like to point out in discussions of music is the fact that in 1988 Rolling Stone came up with the "top 100 albums of the last 20 years" list (and yes I loathe their editors' politics, I'd never subscribe, but RS has made many good musical recommendations over the years). The choices were based on the albums that had the most influence on music. The number one pick was, of course, Sgt. Pepper (being the 20th anniversary of that album). And the no. 2 pick (nobody can ever guess): Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols.

Amazing. Didn’t know he was an American citizen, but I’m glad to see it.

This doesn’t surprise me. He’s always liked being a firecracker up the rectum of the left.

The best song from the Sex Pistols, very conservative in my view, was from Bollocks, the song "Bodies".

I won't post the lyrics, too profane, but the powerful and brutal way the song describes abortion, and the gal "Pauline" is at once truthful and provocative.

only saw one criticism, which was prior to Trump becoming President.
then he got to see how he performed as President, and apparently changed his opinion.

Jello Biafra (Eric Boucher) most likely
a lefty but he nicknamed Obama “Barackstar
O’Bummer”..so who knows.

..His spoken word piece Die For
Oil Sucker criticized Bush and said
“It’ll kill the poor even faster than
crack/send ‘em off to war and make sure
they never come back”. (Kill the Poor
was a title of a song by his group,
Dead Kennedys).

The booklet with the DK’s Give Me Convenience had lyrics to Too Drunk
to F-— and made reference on the page
to Ted Kennedy: “TED Kennedy’s Too Drunk To Swim b/w PRAY, Mary Jo! Available
At Hall of Records, Chappaquiddick,
Mass.”

Ran for mayor against Dianne “Dragon Lady”
Feinstein and came in a distant third of
seven candidates.His platform included
making businessmen wear clown suits
downtown between 9 and 5 pm weekdays.
Supporters held signs: “If He Doesn’t Win,
I’ll Kill Myself” and “What If He
Wins?”

He dissed Trump quite a bit when Trump was first elected . Guess he’s seen the light .

Lots of changes in Johnny's life. Saw him with P.I.L. in Kansas City in 91-92.

Never said that Breitbart is not exactly what you say they are, but they let a lot of the national-socialist leftists slip on the comments section.

Eek. If that’s the best, I’ve been right to ignore them.

LOL - different tastes, I guess. Punk rock isn't for everyone. I wore PiL's first album out when it was released - I loved "Never Mind The Bollocks" and I'd mourned when the Pistols broke up, but they introduced me to The Clash, Lydon's own Public Image, and later Black Flag and so much other great punk rock in the '80s when I was in school and later in college. Great times...
