Why do you think that drill instructors are yelling at their young charges all the time? It's not because they're sadistic, (although I'm not so sure about my T.I. Sgt. Robertson...) they're teaching their recruits how to operate under stress.

If Biden can't operate under the stress of "big bully Trump" interrupting him during a debate, how is he supposed to operate under the stress of an international crisis that, if mishandled, could lead to armed conflict or even nuclear war?

Turn off the mike of the candidate not entitled to speak at the time, automatically. That way we can hear all of what is said. Leave the “both mikes open” for the final minute or two of each topic.

The non-speaking candidate will undoubtedly show his dissent by gestures and facial expressions anyway.

If that’s the rule,it would have been Biden having his microphone turned off because he is the one who started the interruptions, followed by the moderator Wallace.
