I would say the science is clear. Not only are wind and solar not efficient, they are also not good for the environment. Clean coal and natural gas are the most efficient, cleanest, and cheapest forms of energy. Of course, there is nuclear, but lefties don’t like that, either.

I’m going to start setting goals so far out, that I can’t remember when I fail to achieve them.

Gen IV nuclear reactors are the way to go, so we won’t go that way.
(multi-faceted is of course best overall)

What does the auto industry think of this?

One question: Where is all the electric generation going to come from to run all the electric cars and buses and van, and trucks?

Fairy dust? Unicorn farts? Because alternative forms of energy are nowhere and will never be enough unless we go full tilt and bore to nuclear power.

And I don’t see that happening.

“””I’m going to start setting goals so far out, that I can’t remember when I fail to achieve them.”””

My goal is to live until 2058 so I can celebrate the bi-centennial. Beyond that I don’t have any goals.

“What, no gas engines in Michigan now too?”

I guess they will have to retrain most of the citizens of Detroit.

I think it’s great that CA, MI, and probably others soon are doing this. It’s a great piece of information for people who are trying to decide where to live — or where not to live.

This crap is going to cause a natural secession in the country. (If only the whack-o states were contiguous!)

Should be very interesting to the boating communities and lake house owners.

"The science is clear"

Politics is the new science. And science says "Vote Democrat and nobody gets hurt".

“The science is clear – climate change is directly impacting

Clear as mud. When I have a truck driver (nothing against truck drivers, but they ain't climate scientists) for Amazon doing a commercial about their electric fleet telling me climate change is the worst problem we face, well, I call BS.

Okay, gotcha. I looked up MI(1837), and you don’t have your state on your homepage.
