I believe she should put God above all else. But Catholicism should not play a part in this. I have a very devout Catholic daughter. She believes some pretty messed up stuff (especially regarding marriage). As long as Amy leaves some of that stuff on the table, I’m good.
I’m also a little concerned about Amy’s part o the lockdown decision.
The question is whether the Dems have enough credibility left for that to matter.
That is not my opinion.
“Most American Jews strongly support legalized abortion: A 2015 Pew Research Forum survey found that 83 percent of American Jews, more than any other religious group, say abortion should be legal in all/most cases.

From the article:
“Jewish law does not consider the fetus to be a being with a soul until it is born.”
“a midwife may insert her hand into the womb and kill the fetus [the reason is] for as long as the fetus has not emerged into the world, it is not a nefesh [a being with a soul]; one is therefore allowed to kill it and save the mother
“According to Mishna Oholos 7:3, If a woman is having trouble giving birth, they cut up the child in her womb and bring it forth limb by limb, because her life comes before the life of [the child]. “
“But critically, the new restrictive abortion laws do not allow a woman and her rabbi to reach that decision on her own.”
The article even assert that abortion laws may make chemotherapy for female cancer patients illegal, “perhaps they would argue that these treatments cannot be given, as they might cause a spontaneous abortion?”. It goes on paragraph after paragraph with one assault on the truth after another.

Amy Coney Barrett went through Senate confirmation hearings in 2017, there is no need to repeat the process now. If Trump nominates her put her up for a vote the next day and let the liberals scream all they want.
Why give those Marxist Terrorists who refer to themselves as Democrats another opportunity for the outrageous conduct they’ve displayed at recent hearings?
Like most people, they are in favor of abortion except in extreme cases like their own grandchild.
Abortion is the end product of a society that sees no unacceptable consequences from living a life of sexual promiscuity.
The truth of the matter is that contraception and abortion are not pro woman they only benefit men who seek to exploit women for sex without love, responsibility and commitment. It is a great tragedy that so many women have bought into this lie.
Diane Feinstein is only worried about one person and that is Diane Feinstein. Her voters want the ability to live a life where others pay the consequences for their actions, and it’s her job to make sure they get what they want.
A woman whose very life example threatens the status quo, is a dangerous thing for those in power.
The article I linked to is what we all know. Most Jews are ok with abortion.
“credibility” has never been a barrier for the theatrics and shouting of the Left.
Ask FeinSwine about her Chinese driver (for 20 years!).
Sadly there are many pro choice “Catholics” as well.
And the dogma of secular atheism lives loudly in the decisions of liberals like Senator Feinstein.
that is opinion you quote -i am speaking of settled law. there is no precise answer in Jewish law so some hold one way, some another. the compiler of the Mishnah Judah haNasi at first argued for ensoulment at birth - but later changed to conception. Jewish law does agree that the mother’s life takes precedence. it is acceptable to put the life of the mother over that of the fetus. where things become fuzzy is with abortion on demand.
“dogma lives loudly in you”
Feinstein, who seems to be just a tad predatory, if not evil, is trying to get across the point that there is a “righteousness” or an objectivity that exist aside and apart from faith in God, and is more reliable. That is why you see the whole narrative of irreligious (secular) people sitting in judgment of everything and everybody, especially Christians. They like to make out that Christians are somehow crippled mentally and just cannot reach the objective level of those who are not Christian.
What a condescending thing to say.
But hasnt Joan Larsen also been through confirmation hearings?
Heres what actual traditional Jewish legal scholars (as opposed to PC manure spreaders) have to say about abortion:

Typical Coward. Feinstein would Never ask this question of a Muslim, or a Jew.
Funny story.
A couple of years ago I was assigned a job which put me in contact with some Design Engineers from Holland, Michigan. It was a mixed group of guys. A Hindu, A Muslim, A Jew, the other 8 where Evangelicals, and myself. The only Catholic.
Long story short.
It didn’t take long for the Evangelicals to start telling me I was doing it wrong as a Catholic, as opposed to the way they did it. Which of course was the “Correct-Way”.
When I asked why he didn’t “proselytize” the others he got a scared look in his eyes. I smiled a said “ You afraid, because if you had said these things to a Jew, he would call you an Anti-Semite. The Muslim would cut of your head, and Sh*t down your throat, and the Hindu would just say Namaste, and walk away.
Moral of the story is. We all have the Right to practice our Faith as we choose as Americans.
Yes, my Jewish friends are typically pro-abortion; it has much more to do with their political beliefs rather than their religious beliefs. The article you linked to is pro-abortion and it makes the case that abortion is supported by Jewish doctrine. But the actual situation is more complicated and convoluted than that.
I thought that you gace us the wrong link because most of your comment quoted a study which you provided no link to.
Your daughter is Catholic, and believes “some pretty messed up stuff (especially regarding marriage)”? Regarding marriage?? Care to share more details?
