Ad revenue is the big support... tv stations and cable stations still reach potential viewers, but the argument will get more difficult to make as numbers decrease.

Mostly true. TV networks with the contract deal....are royally screwed. Players still get their contract pay. The owners are probably getting nickels and dimes instead of dollars.

All of this would continue as long as the current contract exists. Once the new chatter starts up for the next contract...the whole game will flip and players are then hurt....especially retired players.

I think right now...if you were to re-start Roller Derby and put on opposing the NFL games...it might take off and get more public viewing.

There is another sports league is called DJT league. It comes to you commercial free every day some days for an hour and a half. You can comment On every play. The preseason has started already ending with its Super Bowl on November 3. They have cheerleaders the guy won’t take a knee and he isn’t injury prone very low salary cap. Will taunt from his end zone. And after a while you’ll recognize that you are watching greatness.

I can’t wait to see the mega multi year deals baseball players sign this offseason. They’d be smart to sign before the the season tickets go on non sale. These MLB putzes will pay through the nose, starting next year, for their blm crawl.
