My only question is what took him so long? They were divisive before they even started to teach them.

So NPR and their ilk are angered that the President bans racist training for federal offices. Wouldn’t that make him anti-racist?

I worked for over 25 years as a State of Wisconsin employee. I retired 10+ years ago but I recall having to go to theses mandatory “get your head on straight” sessions as early as the late 1970s. The ones running the sessions were outside consultants who had ins with the elected governors and probably got big fees.
The early sessions were focused on woman’s rights and we male employees were told to treat women equally. That meant no sexist remarks, jokes, calling them “honey”, no touching or complaints women were not pulling their weight in the same job duties. My job had a lot of overnight travel and several women in the same job got away with little or no travel.
By the mid 1980s the focus went to Black rights but the women kept their special status. The sessions had both men and women but we White guys knew we were the ones getting the spanking. As the years went by, I noticed all the new supervisors and promotions were going to Blacks amd women, despite some not having good skills or people skills. Supervisors were not helping or coaching, they were looking for ways to trip up a White guy.
