You should name your source and link to it, if you wish to make your point.
Just saying that you "have read" something doesn't make it. Especially when you use the words "not...proven".
Same basic principle as gamma globulin shots.
We have been using it for months. Results seem mixed. However between convalescent plasma, remdesivir, and steroids the amount of severe illness and death is decreasing. Whether it is any one of those, the combination, or the virus is weakening I cant say
Please God, we need this man.
You called me in your response and then you miss quote me in your critique. That’s pretty strange.
I said what I had read show that it hadn’t proven very helpful not that it was proven not to work. I was reading about this 3 months ago or more so if you’re really that insistent about it I suppose I could go dig around but I’m not really thinking it’s worth the effort at this point because you’re already convinced you’re right.
My response should have stated that you quoted me in your response and then you miss quoted me in your critique.
Here’s one quick reference for you: https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2020/06/no-benefit-convalescent-plasma-covid-19-patients-study-finds
I’m sure there are plenty more to be found out there. this study was terminated early because they didn’t get enough people enrolled (they needed 200 to make it quote on quote clinically reliable) but they had a hundred and three people and did not see any benefit from it at the time.
You said that the plasma hadn't proven to be helpful.
I responded that when you use the words "not proven" and don't cite the source where it was proven not to be helpful, that you aren't making the point.
I'lll check it out, thanks for the link.
Anyway, I believe that over 600 hospitals nationwide are starting COVID blood plasma studies.
In the mean time we have antidotal evidences from 87,000 patients that suggest that the plasma is helpful.
So I'm glad the FDA is taking the position that they are taking.
Have a good night.
No, she didnt treat people who didnt go to the hospital.
We have had it available since April as part of a study. It isn’t being used like i thought. Maybe this will help those with preexisting or the orderly.
We want HCQ readily available to the public now!
You said I used the words “not proven”.
Please show exactly where I used those specific words in that exact connotation in that exact placement (I didn’t).
Yes I know the study was terminated, I stated that up front. The study also showed that it was not providing any therapeutic help for the patients enrolled that were receiving it and the patient in the control group that received it and shouldn’t have (another reason cited as to why the study was terminated early).
They had 103 people enrolled, none of those receiving plasma were helped. I think that the main emphasis needs to be placed on early testing/confirmation and early treatment (we pretty much know this to be true of the HCQ+Zinc Sulfate+Azithromycin protocol) - that it works in most people to shorten duration and limit symptom severity if it is administered prior to the patient being in a progressed disease state (usually within the first few days of diagnosis and usually based on symptoms alone because it takes too long to get results back from a test and the protocol is not dangerous if followed correctly.
I also know the HCQ study done by UofMN was flawed, pretty sure there were others that were just as flawed and showed similar results and were also used as a cudgel by the press.
There are a lot of people getting a lot of things wrong about this, many of them touting themselves as experts and to be “following the science” yet are doing anything but.
HCQ with ZINC is even better, as it is the HCQ which allows zinc already in the body to enter cells where the ZINC stops the virus. HCQ + ZINC + Azithromycin (Dr. Vladimir Zalenko’s 3 part protocol was $20 for the 5 day out-patient treatment. The added zinc is necessary because the body uses up what you may already have very quickly. Many obese, diabetics, elderly, and other vulnerable people are often very deficient in zinc, Vitamins D3 and C, as well as others. I wonder how much the hospitalization plus plasma costs compared to $20 plus whatever a doctor charges for out-patient treatment?
HCQ without the added and ESSENTIAL ZINC is only modestly effective. Why the secrecy on the zinc? Saving the sick to be treated with Gilead Sciences Remdesivir at $1,000 a dose. Close ties of GS to Fauci I have heard.
