Look, I’m no apologist for the despicable Joe Biden. But I do have a daughter named Jill. If I do not enunciate clearly, it can sound like Joe, even from me. I played that vid at high volume. He said Jill. Joe Biden has many chinks (can I even say that?) in his paper thin armor and addled brain, so we shouldn’t waste much time on this. He enunciated poorly, but he did say Jill.

I had just switched channels when she was wrapping up and was working on the computer. When he said that, it made me look up and think, did he just say what I think I heard him say?

I am severally hearing impaired and rely upon hearing aids and lip reading to verbally communicate. I listened to the video without watching it; watched and listened to the video at the same time while focusing on Biden's mouth and lip movements; and watched the video without sound while focusing on Biden's mouth and lip movements. I did this several times. My conclusion: He said "Joe."
If in doubt, go stand in front of a mirror and focus on your lips as you repeat the words "Joe," "Jill," "I am Joe Biden's husband," and "I am Jill Biden's husband." Now go back and watch the Biden video again while focusing on Biden's mouth and lip movements. Do this several times. Now tell us what you "heard."
What might be interesting is if anyone recorded the Biden statement live with closed-caption. If the closed-caption states "Joe," then that should end the debate; if the closed-caption states "Jill," then he might have said Jill" or he might have said "Joe," but the closed-caption was transcribed from a pre-release of the written statement.

That said, I have no problem with agitators thumping the Democrats over this to needle them, as long as the primary right-side media stay out of it.
