My gut feeling is that, of those two, it has to be Rice. Kamala actively turns people off. Rice is incredibly dull, but to the suburban swing voter, she’s the less offensive of the two. Many nonpolitical people actively hate Kamala and her style. They don’t know Rice or really anything about her. She’s well spoken, not ghetto. Kamala isn’t ghetto either, but she kinda pretends she is. Rice will be presented as “Obama’s 3rd term.” Rice doesn’t really add anything, and isn’t a dynamic personality who’s going to excite anyone, but she subtracts less than Kamala. All of Rice’s nefarious history (Benghazi, spygate, etc) will be swept under the rug by the media and presented as little more than the racist delusions of a right wing that never accepted that Obama won.
It has been Kamala since day one.
If the dems really want Harris they’ll whip out the Obama precedent card for her. If not for her they’ll pull it out for another non citizen candidate in the future.
Outside of politics nobody has ever heard of Susan Rice. I follow politics relatively closely and I have no idea what she looks like.
