The Trump campaign needs to keep pounding Biden and all Democrats on the Democrat insurrectionists, their crimes and desire to defund the police. Even if Biden wants them prosecuted. Make Biden bad mouth his fellow Democrats. I’m sure that will make them want to vote for him.

Oregon’s governor is seeing the light also. Finally agreed to sending in state troopers to protect the federal court house. People see that the riots(D) are democrat riots.
This is a classic “wedge” issue where you divide and destroy the opposition in a political campaign.
The Trump campaign can continue pounding on the “Democrats want to defund/hurt the police” theme with lots of example of violent crime.
That will force Biden to “move to the right”, angering the leftists who are the Democratic activists (and will remember why they hated Biden in the first place and wanted Bernie Sanders).
If Biden picks “heels up”, that will pour further salt in the leftist wounds.
And—remember—the Democratic Convention has not happened yet.
The fact that Biden made this statement before the convention means his campaign panicked—they should have waited until _after_ the convention.
The DNC recognizes the mistake, and that is why the mass media is trying to bury the story.
Any folks who use social media should be broadcasting this story far and wide—make the wedge wider and wider...

When pressed Biden will triangulate himself away from Trump and away from the rioters. He will align himself with the peaceful protesters.
