Ok...tell me why.
The Paiute Res at Pyramid Lake is near me. Two State highways run through it and they “allow” outsiders to recreate on the lake. They have a tribal court that is set-up to extract the most amount of $$$ money from the outsiders. God help you if you wander off the State highway with a gun in your vehicle and the tribal police find it.

Not sure if they handle felonies but I am sure they do “criminal”, based on their laws.
I was trying to confirm your point; Norman, OK, is not in “Injun Country”... At least not the part affected by the court case with the Creek Nation.
Non-Oklahomans can be excused, though, for not being fluent in Oklahoma history and jumping to assumptions caused by recent court cases.
