Funny how 12 black guys can be surrounded by thousands of white people 82 times a year (140 or so times for the teams that make it all the way to the finals) and nary a one comes away with so much as a scratch from those hateful racist haters.
Pop is an U.S. Air Force Academy grad, who has a well earned reputation of being a hard driving, hard nosed, coach who demands unceasing attention to detail, and a low media/social media profile from his players.
When he team was lead by two hard working, detail oriented players, US Naval Academy graduate David Robinson, and then by the media phobic Tim Duncan, he could make that work.
Now, without a marquee player, much less one who flourishes in his demanding system, it is hard to get free agents to come to a small market, with a hard driving, hard nosed, coach who demands unceasing attention to detail, and a low media/social media profile from his players. You are far from the first to suspect his super wokeness of recent years is motivated at least in part in an attempt to ameliorate his reputation as the sort of coach modern players want no part of.

Pop is a great coach. But a lot of people who are superb at one thing are not only not superb at most other things, but often not even average at them.
There was a movie awhile back about a society that had no concept of lying until one man invented it.
For me today is like I’m living in a world where a huge number of people cannot think. They simply cannot reason.
The NBA should fire him. If not I will boycott their games this year, next until he is gone.
