That being said, she IS the only LE ELECTED official, and she has the authority over any and all non-elected officials in “her” county (elected judges do have authority over her).
Oh, forgot to mention, a Sheriff also has the authority to kick federal LE (FBI,ATF,etc) out of the county too.. ;^)
Excellent. She actually enforces the law...y’know, the basic job of police. The political leaders in Texas are not prepared to let rioters run rampant and break the law either. Commit illegal acts and you will be arrested.

They had nowhere to put them and no manpower to book them all. Info was taken ... ID and such. If they find these people out again, they won’t get another chance. They’re marked.
None were charged in the June 1 Bridge blocking.
None of the charges would have stuck, anyway, since the police directed them onto the bridge, then didn’t let them get off the bridge... and the kicker, the other other side of the bridge (where they were walking, and where they ALL would have been within 2 more minutes of walking, was outside the curfew zone boundaries for June 1).
