Here in GA we have Castle Doctrine, Stand Your Ground and good old self defense. Hit the accelerator Bro. You are not required to let a mob pull you out of your car and beat you to death. You feared for your life. Plus if you move at a moderate speed they will get bumped out of the way. If somebody gets run over well.

Yep - situational awareness is your friend...just have to be prepared to “do the unthinkable” if it is a choice between them and your own safety...

[I cannot believe the number of Freepers posting about wading into a riot and openly discussing how to harm people.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. They are the same morons bitching about staying home for the past month.

So sure, go towards the riot. I am sure YOU can save the world.]

It is cathartic. Better to vent than to do these things. My sense is that people who vent, vent. People who do, don’t vent. Anyone who wants to do would have to be nuts to vent on some anonymous forum. It’s the kind of thing you’d be wise to confide only in people you have known for decades, and communicate only to people with whom you are going to do these things.

There’s a huge web of conspiracy theories surrounding the guy who went nuts in Vegas, because he never talked about what he was about to do. But the likely reason he never said anything was because those who do, do, whereas those who vent about doing, and actually try to organize something like that over the internet with anonymous helpers, are arrested, and never get to do. No larger conspiracy required.
