The Senior Citizen Attack
Depending on the age of the elderly victim, the person causing injury of some type can face more serious penalties. This is standard with these crimes because someone of advanced age can suffer more greatly with nearly any damage to the body. This person may also suffer from a mental condition such as dementia, confusion or loss of memory and lose monetary assets through illegal activity. The attack on the senior citizen does not need to cause physical harm to increase the penalties in jail or prison for a conviction of these crimes. Someone that is 65 or older can suffer more damage through normal crimes
