Yep the Beatles were taken out of black leather jackets and jeans and put into suits as the music moguls transformed them into the Fab Four.

The Stones? The Stones? They look as clean cut as the Osmond Brothers!

Caught him in an alleyway, Sgt. Friday, offering to patch up my pants and give me a snugger fit.

Honestly, I think this is the way it is going to end
It is and everyone needs to do the same as this man.

They were probably all chain-smoking Chesterfields too. Another accepted element of "elegant" behavior from those day.
I think a man can be proud of both himself and his country without sweating to death in a suit at a summer baseball game.
Also, most ordinary people weren't wealthy enough to own a lot of suits, so they'd have to keep wearing the same threadbare ones to places and venues for which they were ill-suited. Wooden bleachers, for instance.
Must smarter -- and sharper -- to save the suits for dressy occasions more suited to the durability and cut of the fabric.
