The NBC News/WSJ poll was conducted April 13-15 of 900 registered voters – more than half of whom who were reached by cell phone – and it has an overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.3 percentage points.

I guess that more than 60% of Americans are not experiencing the economic fallout yet.

I find that very hard to believe.

Some of us have to stay home due to health reasons now. But I don’t wish that on people who don’t.

It is easy to support a lockdown when you have a job and are essentially unaffected. I wonder what a poll of the unemployed would reveal.

I guess that more than 60% of Americans are not experiencing the economic fallout yet.

Many people going on unemployment are making more with the extra $600/wk than they were working. Just the $600/wk alone is more than many are making. Extra incentive to believe the virus is going to kill them.

I will continue to self isolate. This crap is going to break out again if they stop the lock down as it has done in other countries.
People are being selfish to want out and it will take a toll.

Part of the difference though, is I am 70 and live on a few acres. I understand people going stir crazy cooped up in an apartment or condo.

In her first interview on "Fox News Sunday" since 2017, Billionaire House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., spoke to anchor Chris Wallace about the coronavirus pandemic and its effect on Americans.

"People are taking to the streets, pushing back against some of the more stringent restrictions in some states," Wallace said during the interview, which is set to air Sunday on Fox News Channel. "Can you understand why they're doing that?"

Pelosi responded: "No, not, not really because what we have to do is, is, is shelter in place. That is really the answer."

Meanwhile,Nancy, In the real world, not your billionaire world, Our economy/citizens has been brutally raped/abused with the actions of your fellow elites, democrat governors!

“A shutdown is a broadly destructive solution, to a problem that could have been solved with far more targeted approaches!"

Quarantines only work to keep a small amount of sick people from going out and spreading the disease!

They don’t work to keep the vast majority of healthy people locked inside.

Thanks to HotHunt for this great visual!

NBC News Poll. 900 registered voters half reached by cell. Age group? Dem? Rep? Their polls are as meaningless as the spider I killed in the garage this morning. Dems with TDS vote for today’s talking points and pundit opinions - and against ANYTHING a Republican says. Polls have become worthless.

Then don’t believe it. A recent poll of 1000 real people said that 75% don’t believe in polls at all, and in fact, 75% of them don’t believe a poll actually was taken. That was with a margin of error of plus or minus 3%.

Tyranny of the Majority

"Suppose, for the sake of argument, that, struck by some Malthusian panic, a legislature duly representing public opinion were to enact that all children born during the next ten years should be drowned. Does anyone think such an enactment would be warrantable? If not, there is evidently a limit to the power of a majority."

$600/week may sound good now, but when their $600 is worth $60, there will be a rude awakening.

It is the retirees, disabled, and other “entitlement” receivers who want this.
However, who is going to pay for their entitlements if the rest of us who
work to pay for their entitlements can’t go back to work?
They think money grows on trees.

I live in the DC area. I completely believe this poll. If anything it undercounts the happy-to-shelter public sector employees I live around.
