Since 4/2 the percentage of new cases in the US has dropped from approximately 13+% to 12.64% and 11.02%. I’ve decided to monitor the numbers going forward. I don’t trust the press or the CDC or Trump’s advisors, Falsie and Birx. I think there is deliberate deception going on in order to destroy our economy and bring us down to the level (or lower) than the rest of the world. I also see it as a way to gauge to see how many people will willingly allow themselves to be duped and follow blindly global pronouncements.
On average 58,000 people die in the US every week. Think if we had spent $6,000,000,000,000 on heart disease and cancer?
Except that pretty much every other nation in the world is acting as we are—first weak and then stronger quarantines—we are therefore all in the same boat together. I don’t think every nation in the world is just deliberately trying to destroy every economy in order to bring us down to the level of the rest of the world. It’s still relative, right? No country with a formerly robust economy will emerge unscathed.
I agree with your rough number of average deaths per week. 58,000 per week is 8,285 per day. Yesterday, in addition to the usual 8,285, there were 1,331 from Covid19.
Heart Disease 1,772 per day 646000 per year
Cancer 1,660 per day 606000 per year
Covid19 1,331 per day...
So Covid19 is getting there. Let’s see what happens, but by Friday I bet it is the number 1 killer.

Take total number of coronavirus deaths this year. Divide it by the number of days so far this year and what do you get?
Let's just round it up to 10,000 coronavirus deaths so far (it's actually less than that but OK), divide it by 90 days(Jan 1st to March 31st) and you get only 111 deaths per day for coronavirus.
It's not even close to the over 1700 heart disease deaths every single day of the year, every single year.

Yup. Expect coronavirus figures to skyrocket as deep blue states vie with one another to extort as much from the federal government as they can by literally putting any death with coronavirus (plus heart disease and other more serious diseases) as a death from coronavirus.

AGW holds some applicable lessons on how to analyze this hysteria. With AGW you have to question the very sensors used to collect data. You must questions and understand terms and definitions as well as the methods used to extrapolate the data. Then you must compare various courses of action in terms of the economic and opportunity costs.
The cost to stop AGW even if real is not worth the deaths caused by the resultant impoverishment.
