Please check out Monroe County. How accurate is the map. My area seems pretty accurate.

Please stay well and safe!

LMAO, I scrolled in to find my neighborhood in Chicago, and noticed that Graceland Cemetery is all labeled “very high” vulnerability.

I am not sure the residents of the cemetery are aware they are at such risk.

This whole map is a POS! It’s ridiculous. To begin with we have 30 cases,1/2 of which are probably the flu and we have nothing but old people down here.30 cases within a 125 miles, half the cases are in Key West where half the population is gay and the other half have a huge drinking problem.
....................
Here is their stats for Monroe:
Low access to employment—we have zero unemployment in the keys. Everyone who wants to work has a job.

Low retail job density—its all concentrated in four cities Key West,Marathon,Islamorada and Key Largo but truth is there is endless opportunity for job seekers all over the keys all the time!!

Low frequency of prolonged commute (60+ min)—we have loads of workers coming from Dade county(miami) some commute from marathon to miami 100 miles. We have special busses that bring them.

Low commercial retail availability—crazy just nuts, ever heard of commercial lobster fishing, commercial fishing, const. mtnce.of everything, lawn mtnce. endless! This whole thing is BS.

Low transportation availability—wrong: busses running all over the place, special taxis, uber, bikes, boats, you name it we have it
the whole thing is so much bull shot!!

I was more interested if the proven cases matched up with the different shading? Thanks in advance.

You should look at it. I’m thinking it might show where the cases are living rather than just naming a county.

It shows my street to be medium risk but my property line meets up with a high risk so not good. Also, I have to drive through a extreme risk area to go to any of the three grocery stores near enough to travel to.

Too bad it doesn’t take into consideration there are a group of grandparents down the street who have brought in all the grandkids and they’re all running the neighborhood and playing together. Or the ever rotating construction crews next door who are repairing an oh so very essential deck (not) and bringing their kids. Or the flubro tourists from who know where all over the place shopping at our only grocer, leaving CV germs on gas pump handles, eating at our small handful of restaurants and buying booze like it’s going out of style.

IOW, this neighborhood should be extremely high risk when it should be very safe.

I suspect they are privy to where the cases actually live rather than the CDC merely naming the entire county and leaving people wondering if it is near them or not. The extremely high sort of verifies where the locals here are guessing the locations of cases.

I was looking at my area and found a section mapped as Very High Risk that lays entirely within a National Forest boundary and is only sparsely populated on its edges.

Areas of mega government services are mapped as survivable, those without are high risk.

Great find....

Also since this virus’ highest load is spread slightly before or at the unset of symptoms - having large fans (or keeping fans on in an HVAC system ) in businesses and communal spaces might dilute the virus load people encounter...

The map of my area seems right too... I’m in a low area - - but since every forth home in my neighborhood is owned by a medical doctor that might be misleading.

So, the docs in Martin County have no clue who has Covid-19?

Sucks to be you.

The risk level is probably based on cases versus population. Thus 5 cases in a scattered population would appear higher risk than 5 cases in a dense population.

I looked at the map for our area. Biased in many respects. The area contains a strip center and a few apartment? OMG, too many retail jobs, they’re all going to die! The airport is arguably a risk given how many travel through it, but no one LIVES there.
