In his defense:
Despite my misgivings about him I really can’t believe that he is this stupid.
Trump has a very delicate balancing act going on behind the scenes. Thanks to his predecessors dating back to GHWB we are highly dependent on China for drugs and medical supplies. Trump does not want to go to war by calling them a bunch of liars while lives are still at stake.
This may be a simple case of Dr. Tony being a team player and not undercutting Trump’s efforts.
This is the judgment of the man currently making life and death decisions for the entire country now.
This was back in late February when alarm bells were ringing the world over about the lies the Chinese were peddling about what was going on in Wuhan. Fauci was not Trump’s point-man on the virus at that time.
Yes...they have been waiting years for this opportunity...to destroy the country and Trump. They were put in place as sentinels thirty years ago...waiting for this to happen.

I know there are a lot of FReepers that think this guy is the best thing since ice cream but I believe otherwise. This guy is on his own personal power trip. Everytime you turn around he is “suggesting” more and more restrictions on the public. Unfortunately, people are hanging on every word he spouts. Saw this morning that he was interviewed on Anderson Cooper and could not understand why all the states have not activated stay at home orders. I have worked under and around a lot of doctors in my time and he has the “I’m right and everyone else is wrong” attitude. I am sure his salary is going to keep on coming in for him. There are some doctors that cannot fathom why people can’t afford to stay home for months without bringing any money in. I think he’s one of them.
