Already supply problems coming from China. Wanted to order a nice little RPi4 interface for allstar (amateur radio) and parts supply is delayed due to Coronavirus. Who knows when the supply stream will resume?

The problem with making a hospital the 1st option is that (esp. as panic increases) everybody with a sniffle is going to be heading to the hospital. Call ahead, well, maybe, if the call volume does not overwhelm the hospitals’ ability to handle the incoming calls well.
Here in the US, generally one cannot go to their PCP (GP) without an appointment, and that appointment usually takes a few days to get in. With a significant fatality rate already - oh yeah, that’s the ticket. /s
So, then the option is the ER or a walk-in clinic. Maybe some ER’s can prevent respiratory illnesses’ spread once you have a bed(?), but I suspect the bigger problem is contagion in the waiting room. (ER’s already scare me on this point, and that’s just for Flu, etc.) Walk-in clinics are likely generally worse.
That leaves us with??? I’d say call your PCP / GP office and ask for direction. If this gets bad, maybe screening facilities will be set up / designated.
Can any of our health care pros weigh in? This issue needs to be addressed now. I already consider it a major problem with the Flu.
If it ever is a problem here my Physician is with a group. I’d call ahead...ask how they’re set up and wear a mask when leaving my home to there.
They’ve had masks at the check in, for anyone who comes in with a cold or flu through the flu season, ‘before’ this Coronavirus was even reported. So I suspect they’re on top of this and prepared...

Good points. I’m sure there is a better answer than GP or ER. Maybe there will be triage tents set up, and specially designated facilities. That’s a lot of negative pressure isolation rooms! In any case. It would be nice if the CDC would give some guidance.
DH and I were talking to an friend who heads an ER in a major city and he was tight lipped about the whole thing. All we gleaned was that he was very concerned and he’s normally pretty nonchalant.
