He’s been married to her for longer than I’ve been alive and I 62.

I went to one of his revivals back in the 70s.
After doing my own study I found that his references to the revelation and Armageddon were quite out of line I never listened to him again.
Gog and Magog, according to him were Russia. They arent. They are Turkey and the Turkish areas.

To be fair...many of Jesus parables had a doom and gloom so shall you be if you dont...

My ex inlaws were very good friends of his, and I recall having meals with him at the table. This was back in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. Nice man; genuine.

I always thought his wife was cute.
She seems like a very nice lady.
Prayers for her.

Wow. Sort of a shock. He had been ill for a long time. The guys worked for the sake of the gospel right up until he crossed over into eternity.

I like how they were featured in end-times movies - I believe in Thief In The Night she remembered her Grandma watching them. In some movies they'd watch Van Impe tapes to say "Oh, that's what happened."

I dont like the ones who constantly try to scare old people with doom and gloom. Impe and his wife(?) did that a lot.You need to read your Bible... Jesus Christ was the greatest preacher about Hell who ever lived.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom . . . But the love of him is the beginning of happiness.

Ellen White said it best ....”Nobody will be among the redeemed because they feared hell or hoped for reward. The redeemed will be those who beheld the matchless love of Christ.”
What a wonderful statement.and when tested to scripture?
1 John 4:18: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Van Impe was a walking Bible. I never saw anyone who could quote Scripture like he could.....with chapter and verse, every time.

Never saw him talking about anything other than eschatology. There’s more to the Bible than just Revelation.
To: budj
He had a memorex memory..brilliant gifted man who decided to follow Jesus instead of the status! RIP!

The gospel is not gloom and doom. Rejecting it is.

In recent years, he often used his program to warn people about the threat of radical Islam.
To: dynachrome
Deeply saddened to hear this. I really liked Jack and Rexella.
The news part of the program was very informative.
