The Senate could send a loud message by stating they will follow the Clinton procedures that were used and approved by both Democrats and Republicans during Clinton’s impeachment. Then they pass Hawley’s rule change that gives the House 30 days to send over articles or the Republicans will proceed to dismiss.

The funny thing is last month Democrats were hollering what an imminent threat Trump was that he had to be removed immediately and there was no time to waste with impeaching him.

Now he’s no longer an imminent threat - talk about political bait and switch. These people want to have it both ways.

Fortunately, Senate Republicans will have none of it.

The Senate can just craft a sentence saying the impeachment never happened.
