I’ll repeat what I have said for years....Mexican prez should ask our prez to DRONE a dozen or so cartel mansions and let their army ‘clean up’ leftovers...
BTTT
What is propping Mexico up, is the huge amount of money being funneled into the country by the Cartels.
Wouldn’t be surprised if half of the Corruptocrat politicians in this country are already on the cartels’ payrolls - certainly would explain their opposition to controlling our own borders...
Many years ago, it was recognized that Mexico was in a state of rebellion. Migration to the US was one method decided on to keep it from blowing up. We may be seeing it blow now.
Given the billions of dollars sloshing around from the drug trade I'd be shocked if there are half of the Corruptocrats who aren't on the cartel payrolls.

Do you believe they are incapable to do it themselves?
As horrible as that sounds it's one of the first things that makes sense... Maybe our corrupt deep state is going down to Mexico and making 'speeches' for a half million bucks for a 40 minute talk like they do the middle east...
Maybe the real solution is for us to bride the jerks in Washington like everyone else in the world does... It's all legal - legal bribery... Want to buy $20,000 worth of stupid books? Or buy a 'speech' or whatever other scams they use to take bribes.

Failed title.
It was:
Forget Syria. What Is The U.S. Doing About The Failed State On Its Southern Border?
It should have been:
Forget Syria. What Is The U.S. Doing About The Failed State of Mexico?
Otherwise, the ttile could be assumed to be pointing to the state on Syria’s southern border, which would mean Israel, which would mean “what are the authors talking about????”.
We haven't done what we can do yet, at least in part because that cartel money lines the pockets of quite a few U.S. politicians who are perfectly happy to moan about no borders as some sort of a human rights issue while raking in the money. It isn't just the Mexicans. So, first, isolate the source, and yes, The Wall is not only a visible and symbolic manifestation of our determination along those lines but a concrete improvement over easy criminal access. Patrolling that border vigorously is a necessary adjunct - the wall won't perform magic by itself. Second, shift the clearly futile War On Drugs over to a War On Corruption. Jail politicians, cops, landowners who are on the take. Eject the international NGO's who also rake in the money for their activities in subverting the entire country. Drug addicts who support their habits with criminal activity need to be treated like criminals, not victims - mandatory treatment and isolation until they're clean, which isn't a complete solution but will help stop the San Franciscizing of urban America.
How to clean up Mexico is a Mexican problem. That the current government states that it doesn't want to "start a war" is belied by the clear fact that they've already lost one and surrendered, and the people that won it are doing pretty well with their own war on the folks up north. We won't beat the cartels until we beat their clients in our own country first.
Instead, they are too busy wring their hands about the Kurds. The last time Mexico broke into warring factions, one of them (Villa) decided it was a good idea to launch raids across the U.S. border, in order to prevent one of the others (Venustiano Carranza) from obtaining U.S. support or recognition. It worked, so far as that went, but we responded by sending Pershing into Mexico in a police action.
Put our military on the border, close the damn border and let Mexico blow up. I’ve said here many time I hate Mexico and I hate Mexicans. They hate us and have for decades. Mexican school children are taught that The United States stole land from Mexico and it is their right to walk in here anytime they want and demand whatever they want. I haven’t forgotten May 1, 2006 when thousands of Mexicans marched in the streets of cities across the US waving their damned flag and yelling “Si Se Puedo!’’(Yes We Can!) meaning that yes they can take this country from us.
We need to bring the troops home and militarize the border.
If AMLO doesn’t turn Mexico into Venezuela 2.0 the cartels are going to turn it into a pirate haven.
‘Do you believe they are incapable to do it themselves?’
Yepper.....Totally cuz no such operation could be kept secret by them dudes down there....
I was working at a US Mexico Port of Entry on 9/11, not once that day or in the days and weeks and months afterwards did I hear one single Mexican citizen say they were sorry we were attacked.
What I heard instead was complaint after complaint that new security measures made it take longer for them to cross. When they were reminded we had been attacked many threw out the old...”well the United States likes to interfere in other countries, so...” spiel.
Mexico has never been our friend, and we need to wise up and admit that.
Mexican prez should ask our prez to DRONE a dozen or so cartel mansions and let their army clean up leftovers...
Why would he do that? The cartels pay him good money to be bought and stay bought.

How infuriating. You’re preaching to the choir here Madame. I despise Mexicans. I work in a hospital emergency room and I see them day after day, no insurance, speaking little or no English, arrogant and over entitled and when they have to to they pull the ‘’humble Mexicano no habla’’ bs.
Mexico is the richest country in Latin America and the most corrupt. I can speak some Spanish. Not fluently but more than enough to converse fairly well and when ever Mexicans find this out boy does their attitude change. They tend to shut up.
