It’s possible that the 2016 swamp was a lot bigger than the 1980 swamp that Reagan faced.
Who has made comparisons? Certainly they did in Kennedy and Nixon and almost did in and at least hampered Reagan.
Both Reagan and Trump compromised on their VP to secure their wins, but at least Reagan didn’t make liberal Ron Jr a senior advisor and bring in hoards of other liberal advisors.
Reagan’s appointees were more loyal than Trump’s have been. That is not too surprising since Trump was and still is a political novice. But I think if Reagan had faced a swamp as big and ugly as the one Trump has faced, his story might have been very different.
To be sure they have succeeded in hampering him in his determination to make America great and, so far, they have prevented him from cleaning up Washington.
It's hard to imagine that any benevolent person with a functioning intelligence level would not want Trump to do both. I think that's true.
All benevolent, honest people in America have rallied to his call to make America great.
The rest have rallied to the Democrats' damnation of America and their claims that "America was never great!" "the USA is an evil, racist, nazi nation that must be destroyed!" and their cries "God damn America!" and "Death to America!"
The contrast between President Trump and the Democrats is chasmic and vast!
Don’t forget, they literally took a shot at Reagan early in his first term.
We were here when you got here, we will be here when you are gone.
