That certainly would be an interesting turn of events.

I opined this several days ago. He had the means, the motive and the opportunity.

Bolton may have a connection to the gossipblower but I seriously doubt he was an active player. It would label him a traitor for life. Like him or not; he strikes me as being smarter than that.

seems off that Boltom would have gone to the committee, ahead of filing his ‘own’ report...
He surely knows the rules?

Maybe not, but, it sure seems strange that Bolton would go about it this way.

I believe Bolton is also friendly with Robert Zoellick, Bush’s guy on trade....Trump’s dismantling all that is Zoellick on the China trade deal would be a HUGE slam to Zoellick’s legacy.....too bad...so sad....[\sarcasm]

Speaking out criticizing our N. Korea policy is the kind of thing he does.

But commenting on China-Biden issues that Trump may have discussed, is quite different.

Is John Bolton the whistleblower’s Deep Throat? | Spectator USA

John Bolton has spoken publicly for the first time since he was sacked as Donald Trump’s national security adviser, delivering some remarks about the ‘grave and growing’ threat of North Korea’s nuclear weapons program. He said that Kim Jong-un would not give up his nukes ‘under current circumstances’ – a swipe at Trump’s policy of attempting to charm the dictator of Pyongyang. Bolton has made other, private criticisms of Trump’s policies. At a Gatestone Institute luncheon last month, he said that inviting the Taliban to Camp David was a ‘terrible’ idea and ‘disrespectful’ to the 9/11 families; that pursuing a peace deal with the Taliban didn’t make ‘any sense’; and that any talks with Iran would be ‘doomed to failure’. But throughout all this, he has remained conspicuously silent about the Ukrainian affair.

One veteran political consultant in Washington tells Cockburn that Trump is afraid Bolton is the mastermind behind all the damaging leaks on his secret dealings with the Ukrainians; the whistleblower’s Deep Throat, if you will. This, he believes, is why Trump’s cheerleader in the Senate, Lindsay Graham, keeps asking who was feeding the CIA whistleblower who came forward with details of a call between Trump and the Ukrainian president (in which Trump asked for dirt on the Democratic frontrunner, Joe Biden). Graham tweeted: ‘It is imperative we find out which White House official talked to the whistleblower and why. Why didn’t they lodge the complaint?’ The price of Graham’s support, the political consultant thought, would be an eventual military strike on Iran.

He went on: ‘Watch Bolton’s role in all this. If he is in mix then Trump has real problems. I hear that Trump was obsessed with Bolton when he [Trump] was in New York. When Trump says the real whistleblower is a spy and should be treated as such, he’s threatening Bolton. Bolton would not play his game in Korea, Iran, Russia or Ukraine. This is Trump’s Achilles heel.’ All of this is pure speculation but interesting speculation nonetheless. The next time Bolton pops up to make a speech criticizing his old boss, perhaps someone should ask him if he was aware of contents of the call with the Ukrainian president back in July – and if he was, did he do anything about it?

If Bolton would have come forward on his own it would have been interpreted as “sour grapes”. Especially with the harmless conversation It really was in the first place. I have seen Bolton all over this from the beginning.

I think Sue Gordon is the whistleblower. She was passed over when Dan Coates left as DNI and has worked with Brennan in the CIA.

It’s a rumor, so don’t hold me to it. An agent named M. Barry.

The whistle blower is an unrecognizable figure. A lower level officer in the CIA.

I said it here on FR when news first broke that I suspected John Bolton. The timing of him being fired and the whistle blower news was just too close.

rejected men go for revenge just like a jilted woman... where... WHERE... are the men who used to be men of honor? We used to be an honored nation... today there are millions who would do whatever.. to go after our President.

All this proves a person can be educated... degreed... in a high position.. and be a dumb skunk who believes what he wants to believe and truth is gone!!!! can’t trust anyone and the best dressed/speaker of them all... is probably too dumb to carry on a conversation...

and lying is so permeated society, it makes it impossible for the ones who still tell the truth, to be believed.

I hear these networks, pay high salary for their reporter and talking heads... and they are either lying thru their teeth on what they know, or they are toooo dumb to know what truth is... and they think every truth teller, has to be lying.

THIS is hard to take.... i was raised in a time when honor and trust was what we judged on. it’s so cockeyed, I don’t get it..

ONe more thing.. I disliked obama to the enth degree.. I could not stand to hear him or see him.. and the damage he did.. plus his constant condescending ways.. just one man I wanted gone from the oval office.. and I know I wasn’t the only one.
Today we have a man who is open and honest.. he is doing what he said he would do.. he’s acting very conservative.. he works for the people... and the anti/haters... are so invested in the evil obama permeated, they can’t stand an outsider who is trying so hard to fix things for this once beloved country and we middle America people who are thought poorly of by the east and west coast... the real dummies.

It was speculated on here last week - and I thought the speculation seemed plausible.

Not saying it's true - but may be why he was fired...and why the RINOs are working so hard to keep his ID secret.
