If the Democratic Party follows the United States Constitution and honors the election that you accused others of probably not honoring prior to the event, then everything will be fine with the next vacancy.
It would only get nasty if your political party is dependent upon unfair judicial activism supporting something like the Democrat Baby Killing Sacrament.

I think the next nominee is a very conservative Catholic woman. If it comes down to that, it would be very interesting set of optics for Rat Prz\VPrez candidates to take to the voters for 2020.
I wish her all the luck in her battle with cancer and sincerely hope she devotes ALL of her energy towards battling it.
