“Assault weapons” are just the first of what in effect is their goal of a total gun ban.
Say we do ban “assault weapons”, and confiscate them all. Aside from all the conflicts with the 2nd and 4th amendments, the next mass murderer will just use a shotgun, so we then have to ban them. The the next mass shooting will be with just handguns, like the Virginia tech shooting, so ban them, then the next will be with a standard hunting rifle, rebranded by the left as a evil “sniper rifle”...
It will not end with “assault weapons”. These guns are just semi auto rifles. They have been around for over 100 years.
The real question is what is inspiring these mostly left wing killers, like the godless Marxist nihilism promoted by unconstitutional enemies within our country.
