You are a USMC captain commanding a rifle company somewhere in the National Capital Area.
You are awakened at 2am by a call from your immediate superior telling you that the White House is under attack by terrorists and that the President is missing. The terrorist forces have US Army uniforms and have stolen some trucks and APCs from a base in Virginia.
Your orders are to proceed to 38th and M in Georgetown and prevent enemy forces dressed in American uniforms from crossing the Key Bridge.
The internet is down. No broadcast stations are on the air.
Are you going to shoot at the Army forces coming across the bridge to rescue the President, or not?

Of them all, I think she would be the one hardest to take down because she is the most protected.

I will tell you that planning such a scenario today is not easy to do and is downright impossible. The several reasons for this is out of your level of “need to know”.

My brother retired a Westpoint educated O6 with several years at the Pentagon. About as flaming a liberal as you'll find. On the other hand I work with a recently retired O4 who earned his commision up from enlisted, and is very conservative / down to earth.
My O4 friend and I had a conversation just the other day about this, and he believes the vast majority of the rank and file will do exactly as they're ordered regardless of thier political beliefs. If orders from above are coming from officers like my brother, we're in trouble.
Your scenario has many scenarios possible.
For one, think of how our troops handled Germans dressed as Americans during the Battle of the Bulge.
They will follow their orders even though their political beliefs are contrare. I am finding some interesting trends taking place with liberals that I know and they are seeing through the BS being done by the Deep State. They want to see those doing this to Trump jailed because their respect for the Constitution is great. This is a very good trend and I hope it continues.

Well, that’s the point Ive been trying to make.
Under conditions of perfect information and transparent motivation, DV is undoubtedly correct.
But a successful coup will provide false information and complete lack of transparency..

I agree but will it really happen? Best thing we can currently hope for is that the buzzards, errr, I mean defense lawyers swoop in and bankrupt all the conspirators having to pay for their services.
