20% (roughly) use Salesforce. Another 25% (roughly) use SAP, Oracle and Microsoft, in that order.
Sounds like a great opportunity for SAP, Oracle and Microsoft.
It is a great opening for a new software provider.
We represent several companies. Two of them use salesforce. Some of our other companies use other services and require that we use them.
We’ve had others in the past that required us to use Salesforce. I know for a fact that there are better services out there. Some are much more useful to the business and the employees using it.
I’ll add that if you compare the reports, dashboards, etc. of Telenotes and some of these companies to Salesforce, it’s not even close. Salesforce has a lot of fluff and clutter. I get little value out of Salesforce. It’s not just management that gets more out of it but so do the employees using it.
I believe Salesforce has such market share because it’s the brand name so many recognize. There are much better options in my opinion.
Thanks. Not so much that “you” use them, as that your clients use them and you’re compelled to follow along. Makes sense.
“Of course they can. Its a private company. Just like if I was a business owner, I could choose not to sell supplies to abortion clinics. And that would be my legal rights. I dont agree with their stance, but this is still America. You should not be forced to do business with someone you dont want to do business with.”
That is how it was before 1964. Since, you do business with who the federal government favors and tells you to serve. And you better smile.
Or else.
If you are selling your goods in the public market place then you cannot discriminate against those business’s that you do not like or until they change their policies. if you have a good business reason for not selling to them like credit score, source of their funds, etc then you can withhold your services. but otherwise you cannot discriminate races, sexual orientation, etc.
We’re an agency. If one of the companies we represent tell us they’re going to use a certain one, we comply.
Salesforce is good if you don’t have anything else. There are a few that I get so much more out of.
They cannot wreck a business on a whim. They will be sued.
More leftist, virtue-signaling tech tyranny.
Combined General and Nanny State PING!
I believe the ATF considers a "pistol" with a "second pistol grip" to no longer even be a pistol - it's an AOW ("any other weapon")...
Good point. But you wonder what might happen if a company which had a controlling market presence, decided not to do business with another company, in a way that was arbitrary, and resulted in the collapse of the second company's stock. Which got me to wondering (since these are "progressives" we're talking about) whether any of the Salesforce executives shorted firearms stocks before announcing their new corporate policy...
