Cummings says that the committee is open to forgoing interviews with some White House officials if they turn over some of the documents that are dated earlier than June 21, 2018, as well as data from the Executive Office of the President on John Bolton, Michael Flynn, Sebastian Gorka, Jared Kushner, John McEntee, K.T. McFarland, Robert Porter, Robin Townley and Ivanka Trump.

So this has nothing to do with national security. It is political.

***... Tricia Newbold... “career government employee”. I read that as a deep stater***

The name seems to strike a bell in memory. Perhaps someone - with a bit of spare time - can check her out.

As to this latest silly distraction, POTUS can legally grant security clearance to your toaster oven if he so wishes. . . Elijah Cummings; I think it was EC who recently declared that the Republican Party was the party of slavery. You remember that Nazi, Abraham Lincoln!

Please alert me if you ever catch a Democrap telling the truth.

I spent a couple months in an unclassified facility back in the late seventies while investigators checked out my boring life. Another poor guy had a foreign-born wife and I think it took more than six months to clear him.

Most people do not know that the employer must actually have hired the subject before a background investigation can be done. This is to prevent an employer, (Boeing etc.), from using the process as an HR department for the company. And the employer has to pay a fee for the background investigation. One guy I investigated was going to be the warehouse manager on a T/S Air Force plane production program. During the investigation I uncovered that he was a drug dealer and also was pimping his 15 y/o daughter. By the time I had notified the local PD of my findings and while they were setting up their surveillance and interviews, the eldest son ambushed the father and killed him with a shot gun.

During the B.J. Clinton presidency, or as I like to call him, the Hillbilly Whorehopper from Hot Springs, dozens and dozens of proposed staff could not pass the background check because they could not pass the drug / urine test. B. J. appointed them any way.

I hope the kid got leniency then. My job was with Westinghouse Electric and the division under Naval Reactors at the training and core recycling facility in remote Idaho. It was during Jimmah Carter’s administration when Rickover was riding high. Determined to educate the Navy brass about the nuclear Navy, they shipped admirals and others out for a two-week intensive course. They usually arrived spitting and cursing Hyman but most ended up enjoying the fishing and hunting during down time. One Washington-based officer took back a potted sagebrush.

News alert today said 2 of those denied were Jared and Ivanka. Both, in their previous occupations (he/family real estate and she/fashion) courted foreign investors.

After learning about Biden/Ukraine and Biden and Kerry/China and their son/stepson, I'd say they don't have a leg to stand on.

Jared and Ivanka are Trump’s worst mistakes by far in his admin. They have been responsible for all the Never Trumper GOPe and Dem Establishment and swamp workers high up in his admin, as well as his liberal policy moves. And Jared’s foreign influence and corrupt dealings will very likely come out as a major stain on the admin.

But this “whistleblower” was in the same office through the entire Obama admin, which included such far worse clearances as Huma, Valerie, John Brennan, and many others, most especially with Muslim Brotherhood and Iranian connections.

Sounds like the Cline fellow was ham-fisted in dealing with her, as they ought to have been able to watch for and deal with her for leaks in such a way as to get her out of government legally.
