I think it’s a ruse to try and raise Abram’s creds so run for Georgia governor, again, next election. “Former VP Candidate” sounds more “official”, than just an unknown.
If it is on the level, then - I dare say - she’ll be there for two reasons for Biden: The affirmative action vote, and assassination insurance (basically the same reasons obama picked Biden...in reverse).

Obama’s insurance policy worked because Biden was loyal, and just grateful to be in the White House period, in any capacity. Stacey doesn’t strike me as the loyal type, least of all to an older white man. I see Stacey actively working to bring Biden down so that she could take his place.
That is the same reason why Obama did not dare chose Hillary as his running mate. Vicious and viperous.
