I think that is actually a good idea for anybody - if they want to guide something , they need to be involved.
I’d be more worried about how Google filters their web searches. It would surprise me if you typed in “Trump’s CPAC speech” they will send you to a collection of snippets that would portray him in a bad light.
I got half-way through his speech and thought it was great.
