It’s a wonder any of us survived without our parents taking bonding paid vacations. Of course, a lot of us had mothers who recognized that taking care of her own kids was what good mothers do. We bonded.

So you have ESP and know which generation I am in? I assure you it is highly unlikely you have paid more SS taxes than me. And I earned both halves. You can lessen your pain by decieving yourself into believing your employer paid half a if you wish. If you want beleive you “earned” SS then at least claim you are earned all it. If not then maybe you are ok with giving up half of your check since as you say your employer paid it not you.
What is generational theft? Do you mean the current retired generation who is taking money by force from the currently working generation?

It was not my intention to dampen what you viewed as good news, I understand that it could be seen that way.
I love that Trump is fighting the good fight despite the lack of support from too many feckless Republicans. We could ask for no better champion than Trump in these perilous times. He was marvelous!
If anybody wonders if Trump is no different than past conservative US politicians, such as the Bushes appeared to represent, just consider the dynamic of the political opposition amongst the principals.
When we see the behavior of Trump and Sanders, it is diametrically opposed to the behavior of the Clintons and the Bushes.
There is a sincere difference in political perspective manifest in their core thinking. They are not part of the same system.
