I disagree. I hate communism. It is doomed to failure even if you can stretch your logic to the degreee you would find communism on paper worthy of attempting. Communism goes against human nature so could never work. It necessitates a ruling class who is not bound by its strictures.
But you can believe in socialism, you can be that misguided, and be a very decent, uncorrupt human being.
You can also believe in conservatism and be a total corrupt p3N1$.

In “The Naked Communist”, W. Cleon Skousen wrote that Marx “was setting out to create a race of human beings conditioned to think like criminals”, and that is the only kind that would really survive (if one can call it that) in a socialist dystopia.
And if you think one can believe in US conservatism and be corrupt at the same time, please re-examine what conservatism stands for. RINOs are not exemplary of such people that you think exist.
I disagree. People can be clueless and still be good people. Just like there are good people who think vaccines help the immune system, and good people who think vaccines hurt the immune system. And good people who think they do both. Same with disagreeing how countries should be governed. Same as even believing in Gd.
There’s a difference between “clueless” and actually pushing godless socialism. Sanders absolutely knows what he’s doing. There’s a chance that “AOC” does not fully, but still a slim one.
And using red herrings for comparison doesn’t help, with all due respect.
I am not in a position to judge someone’s morals by their politics. I am surrounded by libs and some of them are truly good people.
It’s not hard to do so, once you know what the politics consist of. To put it simply, liberalism is about the destruction of the rule of law, and no nation can survive that. If “truly good people” vote against their own interests, then they are either heavily deceived or not “truly good”, i.e. there is a side to them you are not seeing.
