At least the Mexicans are proud of their country and want to protect its sovereignty.
You get things in a Mexican prison that are more difficult to cure.
Contrary to PC myths of "Hispanic solidarity," Mexicans are known for being less than welcoming to mass migration from Guatemala and the rest of Central America - and rightly so, because compared to Mexico, those countries are backward, impoverished, and crime-ridden. Now, let's think about what this implies for the relationship between the US and Mexico in these same terms...

And the folks from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador have some other tribes as well, which also have been mistreated in their own country. While I was in Mexico I stayed briefly with some elderly Mexican women of old Spanish decent. Their youngest sister had just married, and they sneered “She married an Indian.” Well, at least she married and he had a good business.
Syncro is right, Mexico does need to reclaim it’s own country, but especially from the powerful drug cartels which can assassinate governors, police chiefs, and bus loads of students. It is a very ugly situation there.
Drug cartels might not like Tijuana rejecting their little crime caravasion.
