My condolences. Sheila Jackson Lee is really messed up. But we have her twin, in Maxine Waters.

when a californian comes looking for a place to live simply don’t rent or sell a home to them, maybe they’ll get the hint and return to the craphole that is California.

” More people are leaving California. But still not enough. “

Absolutely backwards; too many are leaving to infect other states.

BTW, Maxine Waters is from St. Louis, Missouri. They can take her back now. All these liberal troublemakers in California came from other states!

I personally know of hundreds of us Patriots who got the hell out of that sewer called SoCal. Being a fourth generation CA it breaks my heart, but we had to bail when the time was right.

But too many of these MORONS are bringing with them the same moronic values - or lack of same - that turned California into a shit hole!

I’ve been visiting relatives in ID since about 1956. Mom was born there (Dad married an Idaho girl). Dad’s brother also married an Idaho girl and settled there.

We bought a house there in early 2018 up north. I’m watching with dismay the infection occurring there. I never thought it would reach there. Democrat presence is now huge — floats in the Independence Day Parade, Dem booths at the county fair and elsewhere. They are really registering voters. You have to hand it to them for that. They do know how to GOTV.

I’m not surprised it got there too.

It’s everywhere now.

I believe the left is consciously organizing to incrementally invade and eventually dominate everywhere.

At this point, I am trying to find the least leftist place I can for retirement.

I know we will never have anyplace free of their cancerous presence again.

I moved to Colorado from California during the 90's. When I got there a lot of cities already had bike paths, city built and owned gyms, and covenant communities.

As a conservative I asked myself: why would Coloradans be so stupid as to create bike paths when a huge chunk of the time the roads were not fit to ride bikes on? Why would they spend taxpayer dollars on gyms when there were already plenty of choices in the private sector? Why would such independent-minded folks tolerate covenant communities with all of the bylaws and limitations on what a person could do with his property?

One by one the gun ranges were bought up and turned into cookie cutter housing communities. Quaint little towns like Erie with a dirt road for a main street were turned into suburban wastelands. Longmont got a freakish urban neighborhood with roads named '100 Year Party Ct' and 'Neon Forest Cir'.

And there was really not much push back from the Coloradans. They just shrugged their shoulders and kept to themselves.

Partly it was because I got there when the economy was just recovering from a long bad spell and people were focused on getting a job, staying employed, and keeping out of trouble.

But now look at the trouble they're in because they just kept to their independent selves.

Also, the quasi-conservative independents loathed the social conservatives almost as much as the nanny state liberals. So there really was no coming together between libertarians and conservatives. Colorado has its own GOPe that won't let any conservative principles get in the way of making a buck. So sports stadium subsidization was strongly supported by the likes of the so-called conservative radio host Mike Rosen.

The only real ray of hope is the Independence Institute that spawned Tom Tancredo.

What has happened to Colorado depresses me beyond words. I was born in Denver, raised in Littleton, attended Colorado State University, moved back to Denver for a spell and then left for the Navy in 2003.

I very rarely go home these days but when I do, it is just overwhelming how overgrown it has become. You mentioned Erie as suburbia now. I google-mapped it and can't believe it. The entire front range from Fountain to Fort Collins is one endless megalopolis.

The only real ray of hope is the Independence Institute that spawned Tom Tancredo.

Colorado's 6th congressional district, once the home of Tom Tancredo, will be sending a Democrat to DC next year.

My Great Grandfather came to Ca from Texas in 1908 and pioneered a ranch in the desert where no one else would even try. He ended up working it up to four ranch locations and successfully raised cattle on roughly 800 square miles of grazing rights where no one else could.

Wyatt Earp was even a good friend of Grandad and came by to visit the ranch and drink Granddad’s bootleg whisky quite often. Then many years later the Feds forced him to sell these grazing rights. He then bought a very lucrative commercial location on a major highway.

Our family built businesses and worked this for many years and 5 generations up until in 2000 the state of California had finally sapped every drop of blood we had left and forced me, as the fouth generation, to leave Ca with 3 kids, my Wife, and only the shirt on my back. They had killed our 5 generations of pioneer heritage and completely broke us and our business both financially and spiritually through irrational over regulation.

Am I over the top? Damn right. You would not be if they did this to you? After 5 generations and over a hundred years of paying taxes and collecting revenue for them with 4 generations of callused hands and hard knocks? We were forced to trash our whole history and heritage just to preserve the very dignity of the 5th and 6th generations.

It was a damned crime what they did to us and to thousands of others who trusted in them to have common sense. And it would have been absolute criminal neglect for me to even consider raising anymore generations in Ca. I was forced to start all over from scratch with a wife and three kids living in a car. No... I will never consider this as acceptable for the better of the whole.
