GOP gubernatorial candidate Mike Dunleavy, who has led at least one recent poll in his three-way race with Walker and Democrat Mark Begich, issued a brief statement on Mallott’s resignation.
“As we, like all Alaskans, await details surrounding the resignation of the lieutenant governor, our campaign remains focused on restoring trust in state government.,” Dunleavy said. “We need safe neighborhoods, a health economy and full Permanent Fund dividends. This campaign has always been about the people of Alaska, not politicians.”
Probably caught making wise-cracks about Eskimo women.

You can’t just announce a resignation like that in the middle of a campaign saying hiwbdisgusted they are with his comments and how they’ve ere demeaning to women and then just try to sweep the issue under the rug.
If he said that in a professional capacity the public has a right to know.

Walker ran as an Independent last election but he;s been governing as a Dem.
