Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) interview on FNC says electrical grid in the FL Panhandle is “shredded” and needs to be rebuilt following the storm. Extensive damage to homes requires temporary housing.
Ten rescue missions occurred during the night.
Checking in to see how you, your wife and MIL are doing today. Thinking about your harrowing ordeal yesterday.
Have yall seen the Mexico Beach drone footage. Unbelievable.
We friends who cant get a hold of their elderly parents in the area and cant get ahold of any EMS down there. Encouraged them to set up a crowd source rescue ticket.
So typical of my rural part of Alabama.
Got 4+ inches of rain here.
Not to stormy, just a good breeze around 10 mph or so. Enough to make branches on trees and bushes “dance”.
So by 7:00 most is past us and the storm line is over us (dry west, rainy east) and then at 730, my power goes out. And I was working (you know I write computer stuff).
And the power stayed out until 6:30 am.
I really got to work on my old generator!!!
This video is obviously fake news!
Thanks for that. Unimaginable. Here is drone footage of Port St Joe, to the east of Mexico Beach. Not nearly as bad but not seeing the residential areas. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=OOfAtfXoJ44
There’s a gaping hole in your map, sir. What did you use to erase the PWS? Was it like a cloth?
I borrowed one of Hillary’s server wipes. They were out at K-Mart.
They decided to just shut down Homestead AFB after Andrew, and this footage is eerily similar to the damage there.
Just complete and utter devastation.
probably a good thing this storm was just hype and basically a nothingburger huh?
Thanks for checking in with your local report! Glad to know your power is restored in relatively short time. Marco Rubio described FL Panhandle electric grid as “shredded.” Will require rebuild.
You are a wily rascal!
No surprise if retrospective analysis determines Cat 5. The devastation in the Tyndal AFB video is astounding.
More “hyperbole” from reporter flying over so-called damage...
