My point was my surprise that they ARE fighting. The same GOPe worms that would have caved at less than half of this ARE fighting it all the way out.
I suppose you wanted to see Grassley leap to the chamber floor and choke the truth out of Ford! I admit that it would have been more entertaining than what did transpire. But, for politics, this is turning into a good fight.
The Dems started with childish antics and finally dropped a Sex charge in the last 2 minutes. The Pubbies didn’t quit and took the Dems into overtime. The Dems played the Sex charge with Psyho-Princess, but BK did not relent and some of the old players we thought were asleep all season made a few spectacular plays. Even a near turn-over from one of the R’s real flakes was avoided and is giving additional yardage. Very fancy footwork from the R’s got the confirmation out of committee with still only one overtime.
Of course, through all of this, the all-”male” cheer squad for the D’s, the Media, is jumping and howling, doing its circus-act. They’ve even been able to start a few fights in the stands and get some players attacked.
If you’re looking to see this game on TV, you won’t see it. The Cheerleaders are blocking the view.
My amazement is that R’s like Grassley and Graham and McConell ARE fighting like this for Trump’s nominee.
Maybe they figure this is the only way not to be Schumer’s little poo-boy, or maybe they finally see how Trump deals with a one-sided media. Whatever it is, it IS fighting, and its good to see.
