And the thing is, the left doesn’t have to be the least bit concerned that any of this will ever happen to them. The right doesn’t use lying, conniving tactics. They don’t practice the politics of personal destruction. They like to take the high ground. They pride themselves on their fairness, even to the point of learning way too far over backwards, which is routinely used to entrap them by the left. The left likes to use their very decency to destroy us.

I have posted many comments on this farce, but as I reconsider my objections to the extended week of investigation a light went off in my mind. The FBI clears Judge Kavanaugh and the judge is confirmed 100 to 0.

What the GOP needs to do is hire a large team of investigators to look into Ford’s past.. There no doubt it’s filled with a ton of questionable behavior - Who knew her in HS & college, was she a whore (did she in fact boast about over 50 lovers before college), did she drink & party hard like a recent yearbook post suggests, what have boyfriends say about her , did she have issues with mental health, lots of prescriptions...
What about all her activism, her hatred of Trump, her working for the company that makes RU486, the abortion drug.
Get it all out there, expose her life, like they are doing to Kavanaugh.
It's been seared into my hippocampus that evidence must be provable, and this based on the notion of presumption of innocence, perhaps the highest achievement of Anglo-American jurisprudence in history.
But my norepinephrine and epinephrine are sending me panic signals -- that evidence now must be only "compelling" and "credible," and that "provable" is merely a relic of that quaint notion of presumption of innocence.
I am traumatized. So much so that I am installing a second front door at the earliest convenience.

What we saw Thursday was a reality TV show, designed and staged by and for people who let TV rule their lives. This was emotional bread and circuses for the masses. Rats got a dose of emotional high, and probably got physically high and abused their significant others afterwards. Those of us who think logically and factually saw a scripted sham devoid of facts and evidence. This was basically the Jerry Springer Show.
The week delay for an “investigation” (and just what the crap is the FBI going to investigate? Alleged fart jokes? There’s absolutely no evidence of a crime) may actually be a good thing, if the repubs can get control of the process and get it off the TV screen. If the media fluffers can keep the low-info rat base aroused, it will be bad news. I can imagine the 3 RINO women (Collins, Murkowski, Flake) caving and queering the deal. If that happens we’re all screwed.
