My momentary respect for linda was clearly short-lived!

It’s been my experience that politicians usually wait at least 48 hours before they contradict themselves.

A treasured friend believes this will really encourage conservatives to get to the polls in November. I pray he is correct.

Exactly.. The Lobbyists got a hold of him.. He’s not going to jeopardize his future Lobbying position.

Flake, and the sisters have us hostage. Pure and simple. this delay will not win us one dem vote, but we have to do it to get this asshat’s vote and the other two.

I’m telling you, she is not credible. When you are fearful for your safety, you study details that otherwise would be overlooked, particularly if you are trapped. Stuff like exactly what she was wearing and what they were wearing would stand out. The house & lack of transportation is very sketchy.

If I were able to speak and there were cell phones, I would have dialed 911, asap. Certainly I would have told my ‘lousy’ friends and I did the next day and we never associated again. If there were any female neighbors or old people in the vicinity I would have approached them for help.

High school girls tell their siblings and/or their girl friends when stuff happens. Eventually one of them tells the mother if the girl is too scared to tell her own mom. That’s how it works with a network of friends. She would have had this. This is a girl whose parents invested a great deal in her private education and afforded her the luxury of socializing at a country club. She had involved parents that could have dealt with this effectively if it really happened.

She also would have dated lots of guys over the years since then and likely told them that she was once grabbed or groped one time. They would have sympathized with her. None of this occurred.

This groping story involves no other foreplay or mention of kissing. I find that part really strange. Just straight out groping of a stranger takes a great deal of nerve. It is like current ghetto city action, illegal alien action or some old drunk pervert, not a preppie boy.

Country club preppy kids and nearly all teen guys know where to start if they want to be successful in their goal with a girl. Straight out groping is not it. Unwelcome groping gets you slapped or kneed in the groin. Her story is missing many details that would be typical in the high school romance scene. And what about the aftermath? Did she avoid that school, that group and that house due to the PTSD?

Everything is missing from her testimony. I do not believe her at all. Not one bit.

>>Grassley is a wily one. He took advantage of the confusion to vote it out of committee.

Thanks to all of you Freepers for the explanation of a confusing committee process and the why’s behind it.

All I can say is, the old comparison between making sausage and making legislation is apt—you don’t want to see it done.

Well you certainly aren’t alone......everyones usually had some sort of situation they found themselves in they hadn’t anticipated as teenagers. I ended up in a field I ran through off the highway to get away from two guys who had been drinking and decided to fist fight each other in the front seat of ‘a moving truck’ which included the driver swinging!...Scared me so much I jumped out the door and ran into a field! Never gave a thought to how I’d get home....just to get out of the vehicle.

From that point on I always drove myself where ever I went!

Yes, we could write a book on all the stories known of ‘dates gone wrong,’ ‘creepy guys’, ‘close calls’ and all the like.

But sometimes things happen for a good reason and if we learn from the mistake or bad experience, it is okay. They become life lessons and life experiences. Situational awareness is so very important when living in a city and interacting among strangers. Naive women will not fare well on their own.

You were lucky to get out of the car and avoided being in a car accident. which also could have been fatal.

That this Ford woman is a psychologist and lives in perpetual fear of a teen grope is so very absurd. She is nothing but an inspiring actress suffering from TDS inspired by $$$$. God help us if this becomes the norm. Every politician who is not extremely whacked enough for the left will become fair game.

It’s easy, just find their HS yearbooks and toss in a few friends names listed therein for credibility. But do choose or stage a better spot- the car-the woods- some dirt road....

I would pay dearly to find out just what kind of a deal was made in the anteroom outside the hearing prior to the committee vote. I’d like to know the cost of a senator’s integrity.

The right is vying for a position that doesn’t appear to the leftists as a “hostile takeover” of this SCOTUS selection.

It won’t work. The leftists are Alinski trained to act up with continued belligerence.

Hopefully right sided votwrs will get off their duffs in November and send a clear and fresh message that may be (Perhaps) understood that the leftists need a seachange. But leftists are rabid and fanaticle and so politcle discourse in my lifetime will cease to exist and each person must, without fail, vote in each and every election for the remainder of our days on earth. Nothing can be assumed and nothing is a given.

Yes, since I’ve learned of Alinski during the Clinton’s regime, I see the tactics used more and more. It’s become mainstream.

I’m still surprised the Democrats go along with it. I expect more people to leave in disgust.
