I looked, and my phone has a "Presidential alerts" setting under Emergency Alerts. It's the only type of emergency alert that cannot be turned off.
I never noticed that before.

Several years ago in Indiana, a County Sheriff was killed in a gun battle with the State Trooper whose wife he was “entertaining” while he worked the night shift.
