Joe Bistardi's morning video just came out on Weatherbell.com.

He said the North American model is now going to be more accurate than the European, and that the storm track will not go as south/southwest as the European was calling, but more western as the North American model predicted.

This new rain forecast sucks for me, because I have family that are going to have some serious flooding issues.

Southport cam at the harbor pilot tower appears to be down now. They might have lost power. Holden Beach cam went down about 2 hours ago.

Excellent info for a dire situation. Catastrophic rainfall map now has Fayetteville in its cross hairs. Ft. Bragg is the major FEMA staging location for storm response supplies.

Florence is the “Are we there yet?” of hurricanes.

Going to be interesting to see what happens in Charlotte. The intense-rain band is looking to reach them.

It’s a pond. The dam is at the far center of the picture. Over the dam it drops about 15 feet and then about 100 yards to the inland waterway.

Last big hurricane 15 years +/- ago topped the dam - and road on it - and flooded the HVAC tower at our home. Raised the system on it’s own little deck above the height of the dam.

Wind is now coming from a westerly direction.
