Of course evil comes in every color, and of course legal immigrants commit crimes, and citizens commit crimes.
That isn’t the point.
The point is that when a citizen, and a legal immigrant, are LEGALLY here, and there is nothing we can do ahead of time to stop them from being here, and therefore little we can do to mitigate the risk that a particular citizens or legal immigrant will commit a crime against another person.
More specifically, we know that we can predict the probability of harm someone faces, based on the sex and race of the people they interact with, but again we have no legal way to use that information to help prevent a crime.
But in this case, the person was here illegally. ANd we have every right and obligation to keep people who don’t belong here from interacting with people who do belong here.
And every time we remove an illegal, we decrease the risk that an illegal will murder someone. Sure, MOST illegals won’t kill anybody, but that doesn’t change the fact that if we got rid of every illegal, which is our right and obligation under the law, there would be NO citizens murdered by illegals — and therefore we’d save many lives.
The argument here is like saying that, since people die in car crashes when all the cars are driving correctly, we shouldn’t go after people who drive the wrong way on the roads, even if they might run into people and kill them.
Ms Calderwood, sorry your niece was killed. The killer was an ILLEGAL. It is not racist to say the killer SHOULD NOT BE IN THE USA. Now, Ms Calderwood, do you leave your house unlocked? If not, why should the USA leave their door (the borders) unlocked. Build the wall....

Auntie, it is ugly. Seems like Mollie might have changed her mind about guns and carrying and most especially about illegals as she was bludgeoned and tossed in the trunk. If you want to respect your niece’s killer then that’s on you. Me, I’ll never have respect for monsters and kindness would be to build a secure the wall so no more Mollies have to suffer.
