Chomsky’s linguistics theories have been debunked. Tbey fooled a couple of generations of linguists, and teachers of language arts — but they have been exposed as completely bogus.

To understand the significance of this development, consider that Chomsky was the Newton, Einstein and Darwin of the field of linguistics. His theory was to linguistics, as the Theory of Evolution is to biology. Millions of ellementary school teachers were taught it as gospel in colleges of education. And, now it’s been completely debunked.

So, he got the thing he’s supposed to be the leading expert in completely wrong. What’s the liklehood that he’s gotten politics right?
