No. One of them, the oldest one is a complete Bernie Sanders supporter now, but he is actually somewhat open minded and will listen to what we have to say, even though he can find “studies” that he thinks disprove every point that we make.
The younger one has been taught that it is evil to listen to the other side and he does the equivilant of putting his fingers in his ears and singing “lalala” when our side is being espoused. He has warned me not to watch Fox news and firmly believes that anybody that disagrees with the liberal groupthink, does so because they are evil with evil intentions, racists, bigots, etc. (except his parents, us, who are just old school fuddy duddies that don’t know any better)

My oldest son was in school then and he is very pro 2nd ammendment and has a gun collection - so not with the groupthink on that issue. I can only guess that there weren’t very many students who showed up for that protest because the Austin newspaper dug up an old photo of a different liberal protest that my son attended and posted a pic with him in it on this story. He was offended that that his pic was in the paper supposedly against guns.
