I think it is theatre for now. I think Schumer should turn them loose on this one. He lost leverage over Gorsuch and he could wake up any day with RBG leaving or gone. But, the forces are fierce telling the Dems they better man up now. If they lose again after a fierce battle and an election that does not go their way, the RBG seat may not be such a tough battle if it should be next.

Hawley is currently up 2 points in Remington Poll. But, he has been up as much as +8 in that poll. Now that the Governor dust up is over, he should do better. Claire will stop at nothing to win.
As for the Right to Work referendum, apparently someone is misleading people to believe that a yes vote is a yes vote for unions. The opposite is true. Their ads are suggesting that all union members will lose $8700 per year if Missouri becomes a right to work state.
I don’t think Schumer is all that slick. Look at how he screwed up the one day gubmint shutdown. I don’t think he is as adept at running things as Dingy Harry was when he ran the Senate Rats.

Heitkamp (ND) votes with Trump 54% and with Schumer 73%
McCaskill (MO) votes with Trump 44% and with Schumer 82%
Jon Tester (MT) votes with Trump 36% and with Schumer 85%
Sherrod Brown (OH) votes Trump 28% and with Schumer 94%

Baldwin (WI) votes with Trump 22% and with Schumer 93%...

7 are between 73% and 83%
Manchin (WV) is alone in the gap at 60%
3 are between 50% and 54% (all Red States, of course - IN, ND, AL)
37 are between 21% and 44%
and 9 are between 8 and 19%
(104 total, since it includes Strange, Cochran, Sessions, and Franken)
Sessions was 100%, but wasn't there long...
No Republican is below 73%, and Manchin (60%) is the only Dem above 54%.
The HUGE targets:
Jon Tester (D-MT) votes with Trump 36%, but the expectation would be a 85% agreement with Trump (since Trump won MT by 20%).... a discrepancy of 49pts
Sherrod Brown (OH-D), votes with Trump 28%, but the expectation would be a 69% agreement with Trump (Trump won MT by 8%)... a discrepancy of 41pts
Claire McCaskill (MO-D), votes with Trump 45%, but the expectation would be a 83% agreement with Trump (Trump won MT by 19%)... a discrepancy of 38pts
Hetikamp (ND - 37%), Jones (AL - 36%), Baldwin (WI - 33%), Manchin (WV - 30%), and Donnelly (IN - 30%) are all Dems that vote against the President more than 30% more than the expected Senator from a comparable pro-Trump state. That's 8 Senators, most of whom are up for re-election in NOV, that are vastly under-representing their constituency's Trump support.
Surprises:
Rubio (R-FL) is at 96% Trump-side in Senate votes...
Heller (R-NV +47%), Gardner (R-CO +44%), Toomey (R-PA +37%) and (get this) Collins (R-ME +32%) are vastly more pro-Trump than their states' expected representatives...
Rand Paul (R-KY) is the only red-state GOP who supports Trump less than expected (74% instead of the expected 90%)
Same state odd couples:
Toomey (R-PA) contrasts Casey (D-PA) 90% to 29% despite being from the same state...
Gardner (R-CO) contrasts Bennett (D-CO) 91% to 28% on Trump's side...
Portman (R-OH) contrasts Brown (D-OH) 93% to 28%...
And the biggest discrepancy between same-state Senators:
Johnson (R-WI) contrasts Baldwin (D-WI) 91% Trump-votes to 21%, having voted the same only 2 times out of the last 134 Senate votes.
Most voters are sick and tired of the communistic left wing ideology - and especially its lock- step militaristic style and obstructionism. And most of all it’s intense racism ( and anti- Christian, anti- Jewish anti-morality ). Any D senator or rep who wants to stay in office needs to cut free from the dnc-leftist- sorozNazi leash. Vote for or against the nominee based on qualifications. Not left wing ideology.
6 years is a long time and Senators are not going to be keen to cost themselves their jobs by voting contrary to the wishes of their own voters when they’re already in tight races. I predict multiple red state Democrats are going to vote to confirm Kavanaugh.
Indeed, if several Democrats were unseated, there is no reason the Senate could not vote on confirming Kavanaugh again once those new Republican Senators arrive.

Supposed Kavanaugh didn’t get confirmed before the election. Trump could renominate him, after the election, with the Senate membership at that time voting again. It could happen that way.
Right after Kavanaugh is confirmed, Schumer will hold a press conference, and cwyyyy.

The same Dems who voted to confirm Gorsuch and probably a few more will vote to confirm this time as well.
Even if Flake were going to try to grandstand it wouldn’t stop it.
The Red State D’s up for re-election know that to vote against the nominee guarantees they are out of a Job.
They are most likely out of a Job either way, but when it comes to most likely out of a Job if I vote for Trump’s nominee or guaranteed out of a Job if I don’t they will vote for the nominee.
The Dems political theater and craziness they will display up to the final vote just ensures more and more of the non traditional MAGA voter will show up this fall.

Trump will get his nominee and almost certainly will name a replacement of at least one true libtard activist judge during his administration and possibly as many as 3 of them.
Funny thing is Kennedy is honestly mostly a law follower who occasionally goes off the reservation.. unlike Breyer, Ginsberg, Sotomayor and Kagan who don’t even pretend to follow the law when they want a particular outcome.
Quite possibly, Roberts will become the swing vote, as he has sided with the liberals sometimes, notably on the issue of Obamacare.

and the ninth justice is John Roberts.
In the end Roberts defection from 100% Constitutional interpretation to swing interpretation may not matter when both Ginsberg and Breyer are replaced with Conservatives by Trump.
I could see our current cold Civil War turning in an ugly direction when that happens.
