Alan, sorry to break it to you, but if they are shunning you for disagreeing with their (rather twisted) world view, then they were never really your friends. They might have liked to hang out with you for one or more of several reasons, but they weren’t your friends. Friends can agree to disagree, friends can even give you a good ribbing when they believe (or are) that they are right, friends look for and celebrate the common ground that you both share. Friends don’t shun you.
